"Draoi Allta" means "Wilderness Druid" refering to an intimacy with wilderlands, with nature. This site is a way for me to help share -so as to preserve- the culture of ancient Ireland and her mystical traditions. This is a site that does not rely upon conjecture of 17th century writers in use of the term "druid", it strives to bring into our time a clear interpretation of the Iron-Age Celtic language, culture, philosophy, cosmology, art, music, and mythology. I feel that the Roman whitewash of European cultures was a tragedy. I seek to restore the (Pre-Roman) Celtic, culture, traditions, and language. Also I distinguish between DruidISM and DruidRY, this site is about Druidism. I use the term to distinguish from those like the large organizations where the knowledge of Celtic mystical traditions is based on 17th century fiction (DruidRY). This is how I came to use the term "Draoi Allta".
NEWS FLASH!!
This site will be undergoing some great new changes... long overdue! I will slowly be switching over to PHP files so I can insert CSS style code and stuff easier. Enjoy the changes over the next couple of weeks! After that... New material!! This site has remained pretty much the same since the mid-late 90's (!), glad to be getting to a place where I can take this further.
